I fabricated this as directed, only doubled it. I really liked it, but my husband didn't finish his bowl and said "I'm glad you similar it- you lot have lots of leftovers to eat." He said he didn't like the stalks of the bok choy (I left them chopped in large pieces), and said he didn't like the lime gustation in it. I however, really liked it- I will chop the stalks smaller like celery next time, and maybe add a cooked chopped chicken breast, and perhaps some red pepper flakes. I also will but sprinkle the chopped dark-green onions on acme earlier serving along with the cilantro, as the freshness of the green onion disappeared after information technology was cooked. I besides added fresh cracked black pepper over the top. I volition make this again for myself- only not doubling it next time :). 2nd review- This time I chopped the bok coy stems smaller, added one chopped yellow onion, i red pepper and 1 light-green pepper, one seeded jalapeno, 4 inner stalks of celery and leaves, chopped, sauteed in olive oil, and added a sprinkle of cherry pepper flakes, 1 tsp. turmeric powder, skipped the cilantro and put chopped parsley on top. Did not add any lime juice. Delicious!

I made some changes... instead of regular bok choy, I used Shanghai bok choy. They are smaller and more than tender. Find them at the Asian grocery. I cut the mushrooms medium sized how I like them. Instead of chicken broth, I used vegetable stock since I am vegetarian. I used granulated garlic, ground ginger; ground onion, parsley, and Italian seasoning in the soup. I did not employ cilantro. I as well added cayenne pepper because I like spice. I added a lilliputian pink salt and blackness pepper likewise. As for the lime, I simply added a few drops and gustation it equally information technology cooked. That way besides much wouldn't be put it and over power the soup because similar isn't a favorite of mine. This way information technology was adjusted to my tastes and very good.

One of our Accented Favorites!!! We purchase loftier quality mushrooms (not only the usual white caps) and employ bone broth to make this soup.... information technology feels like ane of the healthiest / most restorative foods that our family eats! I really feel energized after eating it.... so I recollect that'southward a good sign.

This soup is absolutely delicious and very piece of cake to make! The only alter I would make is to add more vegetables. I had to ship this recipe to my friends who raved nigh it when I made it for a quick lunch on a cold mean solar day.

This was splendid. I simply omitted the cilantro and put the dark-green onions on top when it was done. I am on a keto diet so I added some heavy cream at the stop. Will definitely make this again.

yes, this is a simple soup, simply that's what makes it great. the flavor of the bok choy and the mushrooms actually came through.

Overall a practiced recipe with a nice flavor profile (although my wife plant it a fleck likewise spicy). I added a few tablespoons of soy sauce because (a) I thought it needed some common salt and (b) information technology seemed like soy sauce would work well with the other ingredients. I was happy with the outcome.

This was an absolutely delicious recipe! I would definitely arrive again. If yous wanted to add a little more to the soup, I think tofu would be a nice touch.

I used two limes and may of had to much, after I got by the pucker of the lime juice, information technology was great! I didn't take green onions, was not going out to get more than. Simply it was existent skilful and filling!

This is astonishing! I love the lime juice and ginger. I used a mixture of sliced shitakes and infant bella mushrooms. I did cut back on the liquid a bit - used a 32 oz box of chicken goop and 1 cup water. Very easy. I will exist making this over again...and again.

Massive striking at our house!! I cut the recipe in half for a lunch with craven wings. Our local shop only baby portabella mushrooms and then I used this turn out perfect

Initially I thought this was an odd combination of ingredients, but the stop result was succulent! Can't await to endeavor the variations other reviewers suggested, similar rice noodles, drinking glass noodles or chicken.

I made this soup twice because I thought, "peradventure I did something wrong?" But subsequently two tries with the aforementioned results - I'one thousand going to say that it's merely non for me. It's a little likewise busy and I found the ingredients to be a little two alien. Maybe something simpler for a light good for you bok choy and mushroom soup.

I dearest this! Very like shooting fish in a barrel. My boyfriend did non treat it at all. He's not big on brothy soups, prefers stew only I thought information technology was awesome!!!

Loved the flavor philharmonic of ginger root and lime. I halved the recipe and added the juice of 1/2 juicy lime. Still added v slices ginger that I julienned. Almost tossed in some red pepper flakes before tasting. Glad I didn't. The ginger root was just right. Made bootleg chicken broth and added ane chicken thigh, chopped, to make it a main dish. Had a couple of petty packets of soy sauce from have out. Put those in. Will make again. I try to incorporate different veggies every week. This recipe fit the pecker. Thanks for a good recipe.

This is just succulent!!! Added the chili flakes for a boot, and saved the lime juice and cilantro for very stop. Just the recipe I was looking for to use a gorgeous head of bok choy. Slicing bok choy very thin, and one or ii cuts lengthwise helps with fitting on the spoon.

A actually tasty and simple recipe. I'one thousand always looking for ways to apply bok choy and I really enjoyed this. I loved the addition of lime juice. It adds a nice subtle tang. I idea this needed a touch of common salt before serving, just this volition depend on what kind of chicken broth you lot utilise. Soy sauce would be a prissy add-on as well. My husband and I beloved this soup. We don't dearest ginger and so that got left out and for my carnivore husband I browned ground turkey with the onions and added it when I added the broth. Definitely a regular in our rotation.

I added chicken and some kale to information technology. I boiled craven breaststroke and cut it into pieces. Added some fresh kale to the pot. It turned out delicious.

Loved the flavors in this soup! Modified a bit based on available ingredients. Added a fiddling ginger. And some chicken. Adjacent time will add some cherry pepper flakes for more kicking.

This is the first time I accept had bok choy. This soup turned out and so good I had to make a review even though I did non brand it exactly. I added a little kale and used burgoo and amend than bouillon to the base, added red pepper flakes, ground ginger instead of the real affair, and regular onions in the soup instead of dark-green. I know people don't similar it when you alter the recipe and make a review but the recipe deserves credit for giving me the idea of trying it. It is really skilful.

This recipe has become one of my favorites! Thank you lot. I add sliced carrots, tofu and vegetarian broth. In that location is a new dense tofu that u don't have to clasp the water out and it works perfectly...just slice it upward!

I was looking for a goop based soup and this fit the bill. I used half olive oil and half butter for the sauteeing. Succulent with out being too filling. Lori 50.

It was but what I was craving! I cooked craven in a slow crock pot and then it fell apart into tender chicken piffling pieces. My husband liked chunks better though so I'll just cutting it next time. Don't utilise boullion though it made it too salty!

I made this for dinner to get with some keto chicken strips I was making. Sooooo skillful. The ingredients are and then healthy and immune supporting. I loved it. I used one carton of craven broth and one carton of vegetable goop. And I used a fair amount of ginger. I was and then excited to swallow some I forgot to put the cilantro on top. Next repast. I thought it might exist bland considering there is no seasoning really, but the ginger and lime juice and the broth give it enough season I didn't feel it needed anything. If yous like mushrooms, this is definitely a winner!

A friend recommended this recipe to me. I had a HUGE bok choy from my CSA. I chopped a good bargain of the white stems (kind of similar yous might chop celery). I didn't utilise all of the mushrooms considering a pound of crimini would take cost $eight on sale! I might not know where to purchase mushrooms! But this soup was great and I'd definitely go far again.

We grew a agglomeration of Bok Choy and thought this would be a great soup simply the lime RUINED it! I didnt even put the full corporeality in. The flavor came out likewise tangy and we threw it all out. I will endeavour this again another fourth dimension and leave out the lime.

I've now fabricated this soup quite a few times. I practise make mine with chicken which requires a bit more piece of work as I like to braise the chicken with garlic and salt, I so debone and shred the craven thighs and start adding veggies. The trick for me is ensuring that the bok choy doesn't go overcooked and end upwardly grayness...which is no skilful at all.
